RFK camps are welcoming, one week resident camps designed to meet the unique and overwhelming needs of abused and neglected children.

It is through intensely supportive interaction with trained adults that the first question,

That a positive experience with loving adult role models is possible.

That they can succeed, because they have done so at our came by providing an oasis.

A full week of relief where they can feel deeply love and cared for, affirmed, and encouraged by truly caring adult by showing our campers that if the cycle of abuse can be broken for a week..

Currently, in the United States, over 3 million children are reported as abused or neglected each year. From that unfortunate number, 150,000 to 250,000 are physically abused and 90,000 to 150,000 children are sexually abused each year.

Tragically, 2,000 children will die each year at the hands of someone who should be there to love and protect them. 1 child will die every 4 hours in America this year!

There are over 5,000 kids in foster care in the State of Alabama.

RFK camps work with the State of Alabama Department of Human Resources to place children in one of our 5 camps within the state of Alabama each summer.

The children, especially the kids, who get a week of positive memories and leave with a renewed sense of self worth.

The foster parents, who are given a week of much needed rest.

The local community who give generously of their time and resources to a need people group – the children.
